Get in their head, then into their heart

I thought that this may be useful to someone. This is something that I do when I am fleshing out characters.

Once you have the basic personality of your character try writing a poem in their voice. It is amazing the things that stand out about their innermost workings when you can do this.

Maybe this can help someone else to truely know their character. If anyone also does this let me know or if someone tries it post and tell me if it helps.

I write characters with my qualities and really overdo it. Simplistic, but it's fun for me to examine myself in a different light.

Me, I develop them over planning. No special method, really.

I like the idea of over developing a part of yourself to create a character. Hmm I may try that.

It's easiest when you are especially bitter and hate filled
