This is the interlude for a book im making but i need a little advice on it

Year 2129 the countries of earth finally discussed the ever growing concern of the decaying planet. Leaders from all countries from Cambodia to the U.S sat in a room with the smartest people at the time to find out how to survive. The ideas they had were extravagant and endless, from searches to new planets to making the moon a new earth with oxygen and plants. Time is always the essence they realized they had even less time then they thought. After 1 year, 7 months and 18 days they finally had it. A scientist from Switzerland had and idea of space colonies (Giant space ships near 300 miles long and 100 miles wide) he figured that with rotation and other advancements it was possible to create a livable environment to live in, in till a livable planet was found.
On December 9th 2136 the first colony was put into space it held 9.5 million people and 1000 Animals it was able to sustain the life supply for 1000 years. With this feat mastered they made 8 more colonies by 2139 Nearly 100 million people were living on colonies. By the Year 2164 most of earth was empty nearly 50,000 colonies were in space. This had been the success we had been looking for.
On May 26th 2197 at 6:34 am a habitable planet was found by the Colony Starhilt. A message was sent to all colonies within 5 minutes of the discovery. At exactly 3:54 pm that same day a sister planet was found only 760,000 miles away. The planets were named Contro`lus and Hubble after the Hubble telescope during the 19th century. Contro`lus was a lush planet full of trees and consisted of three main continents about 2 times larger than earth. Hubble was also a lush planet but it consisted of many smaller islands, this planet was 3 times larger than earth. Colonies landed to drop of the people animals and supplies to rebuild on the planets, then the colonies would return to orbit incase they were needed again. This staged a new era in the history of mankind.
On January 2nd 2217 only 20 years after the new planets were found the forces of the New Semptle attacked and destroyed 1 million people on the island of Heit on the planet Hubble this was the start of the first World War on the planet. After 3 months the New Semptle started attacking countries on Contro`lus starting a galatic war. The New Semptle started capturing Countries on both planets. The ever growing threat of the New Semptle forced the last free countries to form the Unitul forces.
On February 4th 2219 the war took a turn for the worst a new habitable planet was found by Unitul forces, but word got to the New Semptle and both forces rushed to the new planet. Both forces landed on June 6th 2219 the Unitul forces landed first where what is now known as Ciptle Beach the New Semptle forces landed 5 hours later only 20 miles south of Ciptle at 5:29 am on June 6th war was brought to this new world. The planet was later named Ryan due to the sad fact that the first casualty of the war was Ryan Iksta. By the year 2225 war still ravaged the new galaxy and no end seemed in sight.
The new machine known as M.A.V (Mobile Assault Vehicle) was built, put on the battlefield in 2227 allows one man to pilot new walking tanks. Each MAV has two wide legs about 3 feet across and 7 feet high its torso area and cockpit is 4 feet high and about 6 feet wide. It can be equipped with a Vulcan Cannon, Pulse Beam, RPG, 24 small rockets, long range artillery rifle, and a small EMP. This changed the way battles were fought but because of its cost it numbers were limited to the 10s of thousands.
The few Colonies still in space had been untouched by the war. This was the last refuge for many pacifists who didn’t even want to be on the planet near it. Yet many had just stayed in orbit they had never dropped the people on it to either planet. On March 18th 2228 one year after the MAV the original colony Starhilt was destroyed by New Semptle 2 million innocent lives were murdered that day. The battle now took to space, as well the war was not getting better it was getting worse. Yet Two people would shape the future forever.

I think a problem with your topic is that you're writing about something from the perspectives of people who spend every waking hour of their day to the topics you have brought up, so it's going to be hard to come up with various ideas that the governent and scientists haven't thought up and cast aside hundreds of years ago.

It's especially going to be hard getting into details on those things unless you're a scientist, because you're going to have to explain how they're doing these things, and all that stuff.

I don't know, that's just my views on it.
