Detail Pee Scenes?

How do you know when to use detail and description regarding this?

Um, can I ask what your deal with pee is? Is your story about pee? What kind of story can you make about pee? In what context is the peeing in? Is it a gross context? A sensual one? Just a regular pee?

I think Cryptonomicon has a mention of someone with a bashful bladder in there somewhere, but I've never really read anything with a detailed pee scene. Unless of course it was some kind of erotic story or something.

I guess you could start out with "To pee or not to pee?"

LoL~my story is not based ON pee...it would be just a regular, normal story with nothing sexual about it. In it, I mean, if there happened to be a situation that would work well, I just don't know how to write it. Something as simple as this, which still goes with the plot: a character wakes up in the middle of the night needing to pee, but realizes that some other roomates are in there, doing whatever (now that may be something sexual, but only mentioned), forcing the character to wait his turn or just hold out while in his bedroom. I don't know, you know when people dream or just ideas pop into their heads?

Well, there's still a lot of factors there. Is the character a guy or a girl? What about the roommates? What kind of relationship do they have? Is the pee situation significant? If so, how?

When you get into something this personal, reaction will tend to vary a lot more, and more factors can be brought in.

Why don't you just ask all these questions on one big pee-post, because this is the third topic you've made on pretty much the same thing...
