List of Colorful Descriptions

I would like to see a list of writerly descriptions, a kind of bank for writers to use when stuck in areas of their writing- what I had in mind was descriptions in categories such as Anger, Fear, Joy, Intrepidness, Boldness, Anxiousness, etc. Just short descriptions of emotions or actions to stimulate the creative process when we're stuck in areas not knowing how to best describe a scene. like so:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anger:
His mouth turned down at the corners and his face turned the color of beets.

She wrenched the book out of his hands and glared at him.

She peered at him through what he described as PMS eyes, sending shivers up his spine.

He slammed the phone back onto the hook and shouted at the kid; his voice cracking like a fire in a windstorm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, you get the idea. I think it'd be kinda cool to have references all in one spot under certain categories, something people can mix and match as the scene might call for, something that would stimulate a more descriptive way of thinking.

Any comments? Good? Bad idea? Too much potential for plagerism do you think? Not worth the effort? Bubble gum anyone?

Not a bad idea, but I wouldn't use it. *smile*

Too stubbornly self-reliant, I am.

It does sound like fun though, I might give writing a short scene that is an emotion or something like that, but I wouldn't come back and use it. I like to feel it fresh every time I have to write a certain emotion.

I hears ya. I'm more of a "go to the book for inspiration when completely stuck" type person I guess [slings mouse across room shattering lamp, paws through Winny the Poo for inspiration, begins to type, but finds he can't move cursor]

Just for the record, that was a good aside! *grin*

I think that's a great idea for writing exercises, but if multiple authors were trying to get published and all drawing from the same description database, that would be asking for trouble...
