On reprints....
I've got a question; I've been looking for information on this for some time and haven't been able to dig anything up. I published a story some five years ago that I desperately want to rewrite. It was a rough draft, submitted on a whim, and I almost wish I hadn't let them run it. Now I'd like to rework it completely, keeping only a few paragraphs. When I'm done, it should be an entirely new work - except for the lines I'm keeping from before.
Would that be considered a reprint or a new work if I tried to shop it out?
(In case anyone is curious, I sold it for one time rights, so it's all mine again.)
