Thread: John Agard

I recently re-discovered John Agard. I was always hypnotised by his voice, and how he performed his poems. The poems themselves are (obviously) very good (though not something I usually read).

I remember seeing a video him perform Half-Caste, so I'll post a link to that. If you have any other readings from him, feel free to post a link. I'd love to see some more things from the man.

I couldn't find any particularly good footage of the man himself performing it, so this one is a little shaky and doesn't have brilliant sound (also, you miss 'excuse me, standing on one leg').
