We've reinstated the staff position of "Mentor" and Jinxi is the first to get suckered promoted.

Nick has also joined the staff as "Fiction Moderator".

So, what is the role of a mentor exactly? I'm curious.

An experienced and trusted adviser, so it says in the Oxford Dictionary. I'm not sure I qualify, but will do my best. I like the purple name, too, and, please, come not to me for advice on goblins or wizards or vampires or elves; commas, by all means.

Does the role of mentor involve hanging about in the Introduce Yourself forum and saying 'Hi' to everyone, a bit like a posh receptionist with too white teeth and perfect hair, though who has dreadful breath from the crafty cigarette breaks he/she takes whilst the boss isn't looking, 'cause I'm not sure I'll get the tea stains off my teeth.
