    Mobile Friendly

Pawn has said that he'll be doing the next upgrade some time around the 4th March. This includes an auto-detect system to make the site suitable for mobile devices. Once it's done then the site should recognise when people are signing in from a cell phone or iPad and adapt its style accordingly.

Anyone who has tried to access the site from a mobile device should know what an improvement this will be. It will also make the site even more "state of the art" and give us another giant lead over the other writing sites.

My Nokia has an aerial that sticks out and you can play 'snake' on it. Will we be able to get their number and simply give them a call instead of sending pms when they are out of line?

I'm still kind of in the dark ages with my cell phone (hunk of JUNK, I swear) but this is good news if it puts us ahead of other writing sites.

Finally, WF goes mobile! I'm always having a hard time accessing WF through my PSP and my BB.

Wait! *panics* What are those? A PSP is a...okay, I don't know what that is but at my house a 'bb' means my one-year-old. Seriously, I don't have this mobile technology wired. Okay, I guess nobody does, really, but you know what I mean. The question is...what do you mean? Tell me or I'll panic some more.

Er, PSP is the PlayStation Portable, manufactured by Sony as it ventured into handheld gaming consoles to try and beat handheld gaming giant Nintendo.

BB is a slang term for "BlackBerry," a smartphone similar to the iPhone and other likened phones.

Er, seriously, (and I don't mean to be rude or anything but...) you really don't know these, or are you just messing with me?

Foxee isn't the only one who didn't know them.

I know what a BlackBerry is, it just didn't spring to mind with the designation 'BB'...I guess it should have, actually so I'll take the rap on not thinking for that one.. The PSP I had no prayer of knowing, this is the first I've heard of gaming consoles 'going mobile' since the GameBoy.

Edit: To give you an idea, I hate texting, my cellphone is basically used for...er...calling people on (okay, I take pics with it, too) and I don't own an mp3 player yet.

^ No, I just use use the phone to access the site, drop a few comments, have some chat, that's all.

@ Foxee: You have yet to own an mp3 player? That's, er, interesting. Most of the people I know, if not all of them, have at least owned one at some point in their lives.

@ Hawke: Hi there, I'm TheFuhrer. Nice to meet you, too! ^_^

I think you'll find that I'm not the only one. The secret here is possibly in knowing more people.

Actually, I told a small lie there. My hunk O' junk phone is an mp3 player as well but I've never figured out how to load music. Then I didn't bother because my battery dies too soon when I'm only using it for...er...calling people. I know, that's a silly use for a phone and yet I persist!

Using phones to talk? Absurd, I say! Fuhrer you should see my gramma. Never been on the internet (or a computer, really) in her life, despite many family entreaties for her to get on facebook. Even I was a latecomer to facebook.

Will the upgrade do away with the mold green? Apparently blue is the real feel-happy colour. They painted a suicide bridge blue somewhere and it went from having 600 and some suicides a year to, get this, zero. Thems what I call statistics.
Let's see if my above post is deleted without explanation. Wouldn't be the first time.

Hahaha! If that doesn't convince Pawn to change the color, I don't know what will.
