Weaksauce, you don't even use your real name on your facebook account. I disapprove.

Ilasir is really a fictional character which makes it easy to fit in on a writing forum.

Are you confident Ilasir isn't his name? It would be a pretty cool name, you have to admit.

Yeah, I recall him mentioning his facebook account for his "online persona" before, so I know it's not his real name. Also no pic, extra bland weaksauce.

I had one, long ago... lol, i don't know, laziness I guess?

It's not about secrecy or anything, most of the active members on this site know my full name, age, where I live and probably most of my life story haha... Perhaps one of these days I will put an avatar back up, who knows?

Can someone explain to this dummy exactly what this does or what it achieves and how exactly it assists the writing process?

I think the idea is that it could potentially generate some more traffic, by other people seeing this group on individual's facebook pages and being curious enough to check the site out and join.

As for how it assists the writing process, I doubt that it does. But it sure makes me feel better about myself for joining.

Also, I don't think it does any harm.

It provides an additional medium to connect/communicate with likeminded individuals.
