Section for Christians?
Would anyone object to the idea of having a section where Christians can post their works that involve Jesus, and have other Christians reply? I'm a Christian, and would love to have a section like this. I think it'd be a nice way to find other Christians.

I would object to a seperate section devoted to Christianity. In fact, I would leave the site if such a section was created. Unless of course you wanted to make a seperate section for all major world religions, political organizations, lifestyles ETC.

Kaybee, when I was a young Christian, I went to a very friendly Christian site called ibelieve.com. I believe it is still there. The forums there might be more what you're looking for.

Jokes aside, it is clear from the myriad religious debate threads that there are plenty of christians here; it follows that some of these indulge in the occassional critique. Posting in the current applicable section will get plenty of the desired respondants if the work is good enoufgh to attract them.

I like the idea of pastafarians, though. That would be nappy-headed white kids who use italian food as a sacrament, right?

How about a Quaker section.
We could all sit around saying nothing for a couple of weeks and then somebody could get up and shout, "Fuck thee!"

The whole idea of internet forums is a fucking joke. It doesn’t matter what you call it, sooner or later every dickhead, every moron, and every loser is gonna find any site that’s freely accessible and come barging in.
Edit: For example, look at this: http://www.writingforums.com/lounge/...se-marker.html

I am Christian and I object.

We should have a section dedicated to heretics.

This is a writing site- not a religious forum- I suggest you find a site that caters to the love and praise of Christ- This site is definitely not one of them and as long as I remain on staff it will never be. Don't get me wrong -I respect all religions but this forum is about writing and learning the nuts and bolts of the craft-not praying....

Although it is against the common opinion I always thought that words should be taken seriously and literally. I.E for Christian meaning a devotee to the Christ figure..In practice Christian means follower of Christian church religion which I don't agree with. It offends me if people call themselves Christians when they are followers of the christian church religion and not strictly of Jesus Christ. It should be no different for example to calling yourself a Thatcherite or a Marxist. Separating "christian" as being different to other viewpoints is as much as admitting it is a fiction, something made up.

I fail to see how this is relevant to the thread.
But it should be noted that there are hundreds of words that do not retain their literal meaning.
