And if the answer is no, it's because of the anti-christ elements. And meanwhile let's have another big round of "the bible is literal truth".
Christianity is the pushiest religion on the planet. Rather than go into a big speech on why, let me just say one word: Missionaries

The majority of people on this site believe in Christ. In fact, almost every debate thread is turned into a religious discussion. But what you're asking for is a separate section dedicated specifically to Christian works. That's favourtism. If it was allowed, people from other religions will demand to know why Christian people get a section dedicated to them and no other religion does. The problems which that would bring up for management would be numerous.
No one is stopping you from posting your work in the three aforementioned sections of the forum. And if you put a disclaimer at the top of your work to indicate it is religious, you will keep both the believers and non believers content.
Sam.

Mind sharing how you came to that conclusion or what it's based on?

Well, because every almost every thread in the lounge or debate section is, at some point or another, turned into a thread about religion. Post something about intentionally cutting yourself, and someone says you need God in your life. Post something about suicide, someone tells you that it's against the laws of God. Post something personal about your life, people say God will be there for you. I can understand why people get upset when someone asks for a separate section for Christians. What I don't understand, though, is the inclination to make every thread about God. If I'm after having a serious situation or incident in my life, I don't want to hear that "God is watching over you." That doesn't comfort me.
See, I've now unintentionally turned this into a religious thread.

This thread started out as a religious thread, Sam. Look at the title.
And actually, from what I've seen, it's usually the same people that derail threads into religious arguments.

"Christian" writing is almost a genre in its own right; we don't have genre sections here: so no "Christian" section. Religious equality doesn't need to be brought into this.

a) You're a prevaricating toad. This is what you said:

Would anyone object to the idea of having a section where Christians can post their works that involve Jesus, and have other Christians reply? I'm a Christian, and would love to have a section like this. I think it'd be a nice way to find other Christians.
|
....and with the implication there will be rafts of Christians flocking to the thread to reply, that then becomes a fucking Christian thread not a writing thread.
b) Why would there be any higher proportion of anti-Christ people on this site than there are in the general population? We're everywhere, it's just that here we can tell you the truth about our feelings and not have to be tactful the way we are when we pass in the street.

With all due respect, Ma'am, it was the way the question was worded that rendered it pushy.

Yeah, and I demand an Irish section! I've been noticing a lot of my fellow countrymen and women on these boards lately. Irish people - flock together and demand that we be given a section of our own, to discuss the "craic" and other unheard of words. Yes, let's paint the forum green - shit, it's already green!

They could sit around and tell each other Irish jokes. Like the one about the guy who wanted to join the IRA and they said let’s see what you can do first before we let you join and they went down the street and there he was lying on the road with his mouth around the exhaust pipe of this double-decker and they said what the feck are you doing and he replied . . . . wait for it . . . I’m blowing up a bus.

What about the Australian in Ireland, Ox: An Australian was in Ireland. On his way to Belfast, he stopped at a bar and asked one of the locals, "What's the quickest way to Belfast?"
The Irishman asked, "Are you walking or driving?"
The Australian replied, "I'm driving!"
The Irishman said, "Aye, that'd be the quickest way!"

Sorry about the dig about praying- but I never said Christians are incapable of learning the craft of writing or can't post their writing on this site. I'm saying that this site will not cater to a fellowship-which is what you're calling for. This site will not become a us or them site- and yes their are anti-Christians on this site as well as anti Muslims as well as anti Buddhists as well as anti Taoists as well as anti Jews- need I go on- come down from that sanctomonious horse and just write.
my warmest
