I've lost track of the number of people over the last few years who've PM'd me in this regard. Doubtless the other admins are in the same position.

I do not mean to be unreasonable: if you have some compelling motivation to absent yourself from the site entirely, I will certainly listen. If all you have is vanity though, please do not expect a response. Imagine erasing yourself from all your previous conversations; what sense or integrity would they retain? Your contributions are of course yours: feel free to go and edit them all to nothing, but it won't be with my help. If you want to stop posting here, stop posting here. That your legacy remains is a fact of life.

Name changes and custom titles we will consider on a case-by-case basis.
