A poll sounds good to me.

The main reasoning before is that 20,000 characters has proved to be right around the optimum reading length to receive feedback fairly quickly. Anything beyond that may cause it to come a little slower. Of course, it also has a lot to do with reputation and so forth. If people know and like your work, it doesn't matter quite as much.

Glad to see WF back again.

I was beginning to think, was it something I said...?

Too true.

Exceeding the magic 1500 words will limit the amount of feedback you get, but I have found the quality of that feedback can sometimes be some of the best given.

I'll start up a poll.

I still have problems-get the message " network error TCP-error" Maybe the problem is on my side. I use a satellite system that probably bounces the signal off of Jupiter first and then forwards it to a galaxy far far away. I don't know. It's all a mystery to me but I have difficulty getting through the front door. Posts take ten minutes when the stars and moon are aligned correctly.

And the "proud supporter" logo went south with my avatar. I found it in a trash bin but no sign yet of the logo.

And I've got diaper rash to boot.

I am terribly sorry, but I am afraid that the crash was all my fault...
Nacreous I knew it -.- That cute avatar was just to lull us all into a false sense of security...

I'm so glad we have a new server. I know i'm a little late on this but, whew! The old one would crash all the time for me, the only way to get on would be to click on something then delete the www. and refresh...constantly. And yet, my addiction made me do it.
