N. let me save you the trouble. Even though PMs are private and not to be posted on public forums here we go:
Quote:
You just about made me scream. Out loud. Since you would rather be pessimistic than learn something or try, you have a nice weekend, too.

I hate when people just give up.
So that we are excruciatingly clear about the context, these comments were because you gave up trying and said that nobody would be interested in the picture challenge anyway.

I cannot learn things for you. If you won't work with me from word one you won't learn. That's the long and short of it.

As per your request I won't try to help you anymore. I'm sure the rest of the staff are at your disposal should you have any difficulties.

~F.

that's OK ... if it's all too hard, then walk away from it and forget about it ...
there are online tutorials, some with step-by-step illustrations,
and there are community courses in how to use your computer and the internet ...
perhaps either of those options might suit you better ...

to make matters worse, I am now in possession of a personal e-mail from foxee which literally mocks and condemns me for giving up.
Is that what moderators do around here?
this is another matter altogether, and one which is well covered in the rules and guidelines - if you have issues with any moderator, you PM an administrator - you do NOT publicly name the moderator, nor engage in public discussions about PMs ...

without exception, the moderators have specific tasks to perform, and without exception they perform those tasks very well ... they each have their own style and sense of humour, and they were each approached and appointed because they showed themselves to be both competent and helpful to others ...

the moderator's brief does NOT include holding your hand, nor soothing your bruised ego, nor helping you get over yourself - if the rollercoaster is too fast for you, try the merry-go-round, but bitching about the attendant won't win you any friends, nor will it make the rollercoaster go any slower ...

Quote:
I think I'd be better off without them.
I seriously doubt it ... but if you truly feel that way,
then don't let the door hit you on the way out ...
