Sign In Times
I've tried finding my own answer to this, but must not have looked in just the right place yet. Is it WF's default that I get signed out after X amount of time? I mean, even today while I trying to find my answer I signed in, browsed long enough to get signed off, signed back in, flipped through some more pages and posts, did a search, flipped through some results and then more pages, decided to post this message, had to sign in again.
I'm not saying it's unnecessary or a real pain in the you-know-what or anything; just mildly perplexing. I use Ice Weasel and could have it remember my ID/password but the more often I do that the more I have to struggle to remember what I used when on a machine that isn't mine.
I'm prepared to live with it, I'm just wondering is all.

After you type in your user name and password, click on the little white box directly beneath them (I think it says something like "Remember me?" or something - I barely look at it anymore) before you click "log in". That will keep you logged in until you log off.
Hope that helps.

As usual, Hawke's got it spot on. Once you click 'remember me' everytime you access Writing Forums, you will automatically log in - until you click the 'log off' option at the very bottom of the screen.
Sam.

Wow I never knew that. Will be useful as I was having a tendency to getting logged off when I'm trying to compose a post in an RPG.

I never even thought about that - guess I assumed that it meant it would remember my information for the next time I got signed out. Thanks, I'll try it.
