Notice something strange?
I just noticed that my post count hasn't changed. It's like I'm frozen in a time warp-ground hog day. I keep posting but it doesn't change. I've checked my pulse, I'm still alive. Should I worry?

Has your dog died?
Is the sky falling down?
Has a caveman suddenly appeared in front of you with a club going 'gubba gubba!'?
Is your ginger still fresh?
Is the ESC button still working?
Is your fart still flammable?
Just a small list of things to worry about.

To be honest, I rarely look at my post count.
Okay, right now (before posting this), my post count is 4,214. Let's see if it changes...
EDIT: 4,215. Well, that answers that. Not sure why yours isn't changing though. I'll drop a line to an admin.

Over time, I have noticed this a lot, with others' counts. Not too sure about my own, as like Hawke I rarely look.

Yes, in fact, I notice MANY strange things here and there. Problem is I don't have much time to talk about it. Damn! I never have time for anything!
So, please, if you happen to identify what's strange, say it. I'll be glad you help me.
(Hmm... I guess there are too many names under the same head).

Not for the first time recently, something has gone completely over my head.

I thought mine wasn't changing at one time because it was the same no. on the previous post as it was on the present one, I hadn't realised they all changed, I thought they would keep their original no. Doh.

I rarely look at post numbers either, although according to my profile, I'm making almost twenty a day. A little too many, perhaps, but I'm addicted to this place now.
Sam.

At one time, you and me both. And why not, I say? If each post kept its own number, I'm sure there could be some search advantages.

Each post has a unique identifier - check the permalink at the top right of your post (#11 in your case, ox).

I think Olly, and I know I, were talking about post count.

I know you were. I was talking about individual posts, re search advantages, as per your comment.
