Prose Section?

Why not have a "Other Writing" or "Prose" section?

I've wondered about that, as well. A section for prose, the elements of which do not meet those of the short story.

Ah... I see. But don't people just post those in some of the general areas?

It might certainly help to reduce the number of "I wasn't really sure where to post this" threads that are started in the poetry forum. At the moment, the poetry forum is the dumping ground for any frragmented writing that people want to post.

"Oooh, look, Mum. Lookit that dirty old geezer".

"Where, son"?

"Can't you see? There . . . in the shadows in front of that tower. If you look hard you c'n see 'im".

"You can see him, son, how many times must I tell you".

"Yesss, Mum. He's still a dirty old geezer but. Lookit all those chicken bones in his lap".

"Daft, I call it. Why isn't he out in the sun"?

"Dunno, Mum".

At least this dung smells better than yours. I take a large can of fly-killer with me to the lounge now.

Talia_Brie is an unknown quantity at this point
There's a section called "Fiction" that would appear to suit your requirements. Also "Critique & Advice" is another area that sees a lot of prose, flash fiction, and other forms of non-poetry.

Why didn't you answer the question that was asked of you originally? Then others might be able to point you in the right direction. Prose is any writing that isn't poetry.

You need to eat more brain food, less raw chicken, plus get out in the sun occasionally. That quote was not from the original poster.

Would you rather she repeat what the other said?
