Forum problem
I don't know whats going on and I'm really sorry about it. Every time I post anything It says server error, and when I refresh the post I find it posted my response twice. Besides this, no post increases my post count. I really want this fixed because It really annoys me, and I be it aggravates the mods with the double post. Its not my computer its something with my account idk.

It's not just your account, Industrial. But I'm sure it'll be fixed as soon as possible. Mean time, please bear with us.

same problem here.
man, the owners of this site seriously need to consider taking the issues of functionality seriously. i like writingforums.com, don't get me wrong - but this is the kind of shit that makes me feel as though i am not valued as a member and that i am wasting my time here.
it would be one thing if it was an occasional thing - but it's becoming the norm and not the exception.
will this post? i don't know, better copy it before i hit reply.

lmao I just noticed how when it double posts and when the admin removes my post it deletes 1 from my post count even though it never added one for the double post :S

I cringed when I saw the database error message again.
It's not just post count for members, its also not showing posts for threads. (or at least some of them). Also every time I edit a post, it disappears from the thread, then when I go back to it, the post below it disappears. You open the thread again and both are back. This is retarded.

heh. Thats so annoying, how your post does not show up, counting all my posts(not double), I have 21 when I click on my account. It says 11 posts though and fails to actually show any of my posts ARGH!

I'm sorry, but the previous double post just cracks me up. Maybe I'm a little too layed back. But just in case the moderators are interested, I'm having the same problem.

On one of my threads, I enjoyed thinking I had no comments. It said 0 posts beside the thread and had not been bumped. Finally, I decided to click into it, and I found I had a comment, but it had not been recognized on the thread name. The same for my reply post.

Oh, I now have a solution to the double post thing. Don't click refresh when the database error screen comes up, hit the link to the WF home page.

It's happened a couple times since I've been here. Seems to be becoming more frequent though...
Oh well, nothing's perfect. Who cares about post counts anyway? I just noticed mine for the first time in awhile when you mentioned it. I'm getting up there...

We've been having problems on this server for a while now- Please have patience and they will soon be addressed. A few bugs need to be fixed.
To stop double posting just do a post- press submit and on the top you will see an okay-press that and leave. Don't press the submit again.
Again I apologize but that's the price of having an absentee owner who has the key to the codes. There is nothing we can do on our end when it comes to these techinal glitches but scream for the owner to do a little plumbing.

another thing that sucks is when staff on a forum has to constantly apologize for absentee owners.
and the absentee owner in regard to fixing technical problems thing has been going on for over a year now.
at least this one doesn't seem quite as apathetic as the last one.

I see that another thread, where it is mentioned that people are drifting away from these forums because of the problems, has vanished.
