No he's not. As an abesentee owner he is pretty good. he has e-mailed me and is working on the bugs. This one is pretty bad. In the next 24 hours things should be back and running. I know that we've had a rough patch for a while but hopefully this will get better and those that have left will opt to return

Yah. The writing chalenge area is doing pritty bad. Yesterday I post all this stuff and it didn't show up on the forum. It still hasn't. When I went to "go advanced" it showed all the post at the botome as well as mine.

I'm beginning to wonder-
I understand that the staff are volunteers, contributing a lot of hard work for nothing and I have no complaints there, but...I'm checking out other options.
What else can I do? And as far as taking what you get because it's free-that's BS on several levels. This site is a money-making operation, or should be if it worked. But even if the service was offered out of the goodness of the owner’s heart, the Mother Teresa of forums, it still makes no difference.
For example: I set up a lemon aid stand on the corner with a big sign advertising free lemon aid-my first customer screams, "This taste like shit". Of course it taste like shit, I add a cup of shit per pitcher. What do you expect since it's free? Word would get around the neighborhood quick to avoid Adrian's lemon aid stand regardless of the bargain prices.
My two pennies ‘cause I spent an hour on a crit last night just to see it disappear into space – and before you say, “You should have saved it before posting”, I know where you live, I’m old and I’ve got nothing to lose.

and the more of you there are the more money it makes.
members are perfectly within their rights as contributing members to expect the site to work well, or at least if there are errors for those to be identified and fixed in a timely manner, with full disclosure and updates in regard to what the problems actually are.
to not be honest about it is strangely sycophantic.

I'm sure that as soon as it can be fixed it will be. Sometimes it's good to take a break from these places anyway. 1or 2 years ago there was a problem and I ditched it for a while, then forgot about it. Rediscovered it a few months ago. It's okay now, not down like it was at around xmas. We'll get by...
