Just wondering why the Writer's Workshop domain changed. I had it saved and I couldn't get there through my favorites list, so I had to go the traditional route, fishing through the forums!

Not a big deal, just curious why there was a need for a change.

Quite possibly that may be another result of the mess a few days ago when, as Selorian mentioned elsewhere in this forum, viruses (virii?) may have infected the server's database. You're not alone, there's been many odd things happening.

Thanks OX, it probably does have something to do with the great Christmas meltdown of 2007. I'm just trying to satiate my appetite for information.

I must know all!

Lost

(I like virii; any word where the vowels outnumber the consonants gets my vote.)

Now that I think about it, why not place a shortcut to Writer's Workshop on your Desktop? That's even faster than going to Favorites. I have one such, although mine is to the home page.

Or it might have been the general re-ordering that came with the addition of the poetry lm. But mostly I posted this so the top line has changed if any one loggs on. Then they will see we are up and working again.

Poetry Literary Manoeuvres. (Or "Maneuvers" if you're of the American persuasion.)

Forgive me, but to my mind "literary manoeuvre" seems wrong. Surely "literary oeuvre" is more correct. And if I'm right, let's see what the Yanks can do with that one.

"Virii" is incorrect. "Viri" is the plural of "man" in Latin. Also, from what I read, "virus" was a mass noun in Latin, like "air" or "stuff" is today in English, so it didn't really have a plural at all.
