where to post

i have no idea where to post my stuff. no idea where it falls under. i could be poetry it could be a short story i have no idea. they are just thoughts that i rant on and question

Aevin is an unknown quantity at this point
Try "Critique and Advice." It's a section which welcomes all different types of writing. However, posting there means your work will be critiqued, so if that's not what you want you'll just have to post an author's note or sort into the separate categories as best you can.

As DA suggested, but if it's a rant, at least make sure it's a well-written and well-polished rant if you want comments to be on the work rather than on your lack of effort.

If you just want to rant, try the Lounge.

File13 can be good. Some places get more posts than others so you disappear off the bottom of the page quickly, poetry is especially bad for that. If you are too much in the wrong place a mod will usually move your thread somewhere appropriate.
