I recently recieved this email from mammamaia...despite my request that she refrain from writing to me with her threats and pressure. This is her "olive branch."

This was her response to my note that she stop the power plays and demands and, as her tagline puts it, BE the change she wishes in the world.

The threat is pretty clear. She has already snooped around and found a profile from another site and posted it on a third site with an editorial diatribe about how I'm a failure, living in poverty...which she seems to think is worth sneering at somebody about. And of course, has no information on anyway.

So yeah, she is obviously capable of doing some "cyber stalking" and posting what she considered nasty material about me here if I don't do what she wants. (Having failed in her shrill screams to moderators on several sites, who tend to see her as a pretentious pain in the ass)

I think there are probably people here who are less than comfortable about the idea that somebody might reply to their disagreement by snooping around to dig up dirt on them and post it.

To get thing one thing straight: I don't have any secrets. Certainly none that she can find out. I've had a very violent past, full of crime and prison time and all sorts of shit. I don't make any bones about it, have published writing about it.

But what about somebody else. Maybe you had a messy divorce or some business enemy posting lies about you somewhere? Do you like the idea of some little "do-gooder hug saint" like Maia posting them.... or better yet, blackmailing you with them?

Just wondering. How would you deal with this if it happened to you?

Let's all pray for Lin, the ever-victimized do-gooder. Or better yet: let's cry with him. My underwear has a hole in it, so I'm ready to whine...

Well, maybe you would respond to a threat with a threat, TigerBeat, but not everybody is like that.

I'm asking what people would do if such a situation. Read on and maybe find out other ways to handle than responding in kind.

I don't know where you got the idea I'm a do-gooder, by the way. Far, far from it. As far as I'm concerned, it's the do-gooders who cause the worst trouble in the world.

Now, other than telling us about your lingerie, do you have any response on how you would handle somebody threatening to reveal rotten secrets about you if you don't do what they want? Try to think in general terms, if you can do that.

Lin and maia, this childish vendetta you two have against one another needs to come to a screeching halt. Any respect either of you have had at WF is quickly dwindling as long as this type of behavior continues. Not only that, but you're making the forums a very unpleasant place to be.
