When you read critiques, you should try to remember:

There will always be people who try to make themselves look clever by making you look stupid.

There will always be people who say well-meaning, but meaningless things so as not to hurt your feelings.

There will always be people who are brutal in their honesty.

There will always be people who don't 'get' what you're saying or don't like your style.

Treat crits like the debris that accumulates down the back of a couch. Save the nickels and dimes, discard the fluff. Judge for yourself which crits address an issue that needs your attention, and which are just tub-thumping.

I found some crisps and an empty Biro down the back of my couch.
