Oh, I've just noticed this now...
In my profile, I've clicked to show my gender in my posts, however it doesn't show with the new configuration.
I checked around on a couple threads, but it seems like no one has their gender displayed, even those who did before the new configuration.
Is this fixable, in some way?

I don't like the reputation thing, either... I just left bad rep for someone and I fear I may do it again. And again. And again and again and again...

It will end with someone, a tragedy. I think Lin said tears.

Hm. You know, I was going to say that the reputation thing isn't that big of a deal...I've seen it before on other forums and everyone pretty much ignored it anyway...
...however...
...at that point I had forgotten that Hodge existed.
(there we go...I've done it now. Hodge will leave me bad Rep. Boo. and hoo, too.)

Rep is icky. Elitist, really. Either I'll end up with really bad rep or really good rep. I don't know whether jackasses or ass-kissers annoy me more, and I don't want to be forced into that kind of decision just yet.
I do like the little thing on the bottom that shows who's viewing the thread you're in, though.

I'm using the feature in this post. Basicly if you come back to a thread and see five replies from five people you'd like to respond to, you're supposed to hit the multi-quote button on each of there posts and hit the quote one on the last post... when the reply box opens for you to type your message.. all five posts will be quoted and ready for you.

I'll have this fixed by later in the evening.. shouldn't be difficult.

That multi-quote thing is quite fantastic. Thanks for the explanation.
I like that too, seeing everyone who's viewing a particular thread on the bottom of the page. The forum that they sent us to when this was down had that feature as well, & I had since been meaning to bring it up.

I think reputation could be okay if used correctly (or at least how I consider it should be used). If you give someone good rep for writing something nice or making a good point and give someone bad rep for behaving badly or trolling, that's good. But if you give someone bad rep for not agreeing with you and kissing Hodge's or someone else's ass with good rep, that's bad. See my point?
I too am a fan of both multi-quoting and the see-who's-looking-thing. In fact, most changes look good so far.

LOL, around here a bad rep might be desirable. I don't take it too seriously.
Multi-quote and who's looking both are good ideas. Multi-quote would really help when responding to crits.

I'm with Foxee on this. I've been to plenty of places with rep and ignored the crap out of it.
Have it, don't have it. Either way, no big deal

The new color scheme is pretty. I like it.

I use the rep system on my own forum... it doesn't seem to attract a lot of attention and most of the users tend to give only positive reps. It is a fun little distraction, but I can see that it could cause problems if some people take it to heart.
Besides the admin could make it an optional feature. Those who don't want reputation system should be allowed to disable it in their user cp.

GREAT reps/multi-quote. all i want now is to be able to see who is in the threads. someone needs to drag this forum into the 21st century!!!! you seem the fella to do it. thanks. this is a community, not a bunch of nobodies crawling around in the shadows
no neg repping though, it's bad form everyone! to use multi quote, click on the multi quote button on every post you want to reply to and quote on the last. all the quotes will be in the same post and you will be able to reply to them in one post. great.
