Annoying Log Out Problem.
Okay, I understand that in some forums, there should be an automatic log out, but not for a writing forum. I wrote, what I believe was my best piece of writing on my new thread, but when I went to post it said I needed to log on again. I logged on, and was met with anger when my thread wasnt there.
Im really pissed off, I mean really.
This is so annoying...

Then try clicking the "keep me logged on" checkbox (or whatever it says).
Or better yet: write your stories in a WORD PROCESSOR.
Yeesh.

I usually do, but this once, I decided just to write it up here.
Man, there should even be an auto log out for a forum that your write up stories etc on, im just annoyed that I've lost a good piece of work and im unable to ever get in back.

If you use a good browser (Firefox, Safari), then you can just click the "back" button and it'll preserve all your text...

Hodge is right. I recommend doing both - check the button AND get Firefox/Safari.

Or, if you type something directly into the forums, copy it into Word before you click save. That way you have a backup regardless.

Even if you're not auto-logged out, sometimes transient page-loading problems can occur. If I've typed something directly onto the page that I don't want to lose, I highlight all of the text and select copy before continuing. If the page doesn't load, I paste it into Notepad or something and then recover from there.
Cheers,
Rob

You see the main thing to do is type it up in a Word Processor, therefore, you can save it in there, and if you have Microsoft Word you can spell-check. (Although, some of the spellings can be wrong.) That way you wont have any spelling mistakes, and you'll have your worked saved on your computer. Then after that you just copy and go ctrl-V in the thread, then your done. You can start it and ask for critique.
The other good reason for typing it in word is that you can then print it then show parents, siblings, friends, teachers, people like that.
Thnx, Eliana

Well, if you killed yourself, none of you would have this problem. Sounds like the perfect solution.
