Why should we need to do that? The administrators just need to fix the forum.

If you post, and you see an error (reputedly with the database or something), then don't refresh the page, it will result in a double post. If you simply close the browser, or navigate to the homepage, you will find that you have posted only once. Trouble is, it hasn't updated the database, so your post count doesn't go up, and the post doesn't report that it has been updated.

What does it matter if you're opening things in a new window?
This is all really confusing.

This may be unrelated the the double posting bug, but in when I'm on the forum index/main page none of the boards seem to be showing the correct most recent post. I go into the various sections and it turns out the most recent post shown on the index was about six or seven posts ago. Other times, the most recent post shown on my index isn't even there.

Started last night.

Any sign of a fix, I wonder?

There appears to be an issue updating the database with the post details. The post is saved, but the other updates are not, so no current date etc. is associated with new posts.

Thanks for fixing the board, it all appears to be functioning again. I'm glad it's back!! Yeehah!

OK, so it's a little slow, but I can handle slow.

The slowness should clear up within the hour.

Otherwise things seem to be better. Let me know if you have any further problems.

Yes, it should be. Staff hasn't caught all the double posts to delete them.
