I was freaking out the last few days. I saw someone post that there writing forum shut down and I was jumping to the conclusion that this was the site that shut down. There are definitely no writing websites as busy and informative as this one. There is always a new post to read. Thanks for coming back.

With a little more digging you will discover the same story from the same company regarding a song writing forum they own. Allegedly they cried poor and pumped the users for donations then shut the site down anyway.
A little focused googling can go a long way.

So yeah, I really missed WF and I have to say I was appalled by the attitudes that were rampant on writingforums.org. A note to everyone who bashed WF freely: Please feel free to get lost. If you don't like it, then please quit hogging server space for the rest of us.
Okay, that was my rant. Otherwise, glad WF is back and humming and I'm hoping we'll all make some donations to help out maybe with the server costs. Would hate to see such a great community falter.

Ya'll gave me a scare man, but I'll tell you today I was never more happy to see my screen turn dark green. Also for a moment, I too thought it was just my computer lol, until last night when I was at my friends house and tried to get on.
Sad part, I got more work done in my novel over the last few days than any other set of a few days -_-'
Also started reading Haunted.
But hey, it's good to be back.

I was on a flight to Africa, returned and WF was gone!!! Thought my computer and I had caught some equitorial virus and were "not gonna make it"!! Days went by, checking daily, I began to dispair, nea panic! Didn't realize I was enjoying the site so much and my new habit (writing). Sure glad yu'all are back!!

to my knowledge this is the biggest writing help site there is
they have plenty of reason to be happy when this site goes down... whether it be 3 days or for good
that will mean the people here will search for a new site meaning more hits for
another site. |
