How do you watch posts?
I've been trying to figure it out for like 20 minutes but maybe I'm just missing something obvious.

silverwriter is an unknown quantity at this point
Well, when you reply to a thread, it goes on your "Watched Threads" list. Otherwise, if you don't care to reply, go to "Thread Tools" in the dark green section of the post box of the person who posted the thread (aka the first post), and select the "Subscribe to this post" option.

That should do it.

It may help to know that vB refers to watched threads as 'subscribed' to. You get a list of active thread to which you are subscribed in the first page of User CP. silverwriter has well explained how you go about subscribing to a thread above. You may also find it useful to set your email notification preferences in the 'Edit Options' section of the User CP.
