Some clarification: when she says 'the trash' she means 'the place threads go to die'. Be assured that no one but staff can access that place. Be further assured that posts there have exactly the same effective status as posts that are physically removed. Googlebots intermittently cache the parts of writingforums they have access to, just as they do with all sites, and will indeed temporarily hold a copy of deleted content - however it is deleted - until the next scheduled cache. Unfortunately there just isn't anything we can do about that.
