Annual Forum Meet

Maybe some of you guys have done this before, but lets have it on a larger scale.

I was in another forum browsing around and they had this annual meet where they'd set a place and time (preferably a convinient time for almost everyone internationally) every year and forum members would actually meet up and chat.

Just a suggestion, but hey if we could pull it off, that might be cool! I'd love to actually you people in person. especially all the eccentrics... hehehe

Let's all meet in NYC on Dec. 25. Everyone's free that day, right?

Very well then. December 25th Amman-Jordan. [just a continent away, nothing big]

Jordan? Are you high? Do you not realize that Americans can't go to the Middle East without being mooned, mugged, spit on, injured, maimed, killed, or all of the above?

Yeesh. Just everyone go to Canada. They don't believe in unfriendliness there.

No one will notice the Americans. It'll be Christmas day! All the Jordanians will be busy opening presents!

Hmmm...beware of Canada, though. I learned in Stuart Little that Canadians moved to Canada because "they want to be alone."

I for one would hate to bust in past their 'do not disturb' signs.

I actually like that idea--despite the logistic problems. Though admittedly, since I love Canada, I'd certainly go there for it. And there are people I'm so damn curious about meeting--Hodge for one, just judge for myself the reality of him. My fav writers, semtecks, gohn, eggo and Chris Miller--Hawke, to see if she's as sweet in real life--I have visions of dragging Silverwriter, Gigi, Tsu, Lorlie, Nae, Foxee and Vodka out to show them what real partying is like. That might take getting Bika, J.R., Gary Wagner and Dannyboy (to name a few) drunk for a swim out in a rock quarry to settle an arguement about shinkage. An on the spot poetry write and read, losing an article of clothing or divulging a truth the consequence of screwing it up. And that would be just the warm up.

So, if I haven't scared anyone yet, any takers?

I hate being mooned. Maybe Canada would be better after all.

Yep, sounds like a winner.

I'd come to Calgary or Vancouver if I could figure out how to get from here to there for free. (That fits in my budget) I'd like to see if Hodge is for real, too. I bet he's actually a pussycat.
