is it just me, or...
...is everything taking forever to open today [and/or not opening at all!]?...
sorry to be whining again, but i need to know if it's my new laptop slowing down or the site's bugs acting up again/still...
hugs, m

If it's a new computer it might be slow the first few times of navigating, before the cookies and such are stored.
Give it a day or so and see if anything improves, I say.

It is not as fast as usual but not real bad either.

Maia I am having the same problem too, and this laptop is brand new as well. Though I think Ilan is right... maybe it's only at first.

Slowing down for me as well, on both laptop and work computers... it's not as bad as before, but still annoying.

Actually, I think it will be slow for everyone (or at least most people) because the site was down and that probably affected the cookies.

It was the subscribed threads DB that corrupted? If it's been recreated (I apologise for not keeping up with the tech explanation for all the issues) - and I assume it has - if you are subscribing to more threads, the repopulation of this database could also be causing your site experience to be slower than usual.
I don't subscribe to threads, and no speed issues here.

hugs, m

i don't subscribe to threads, bika, so it can't be that...
and it's still pretty slow in both getting the site itself to open and opening sections/threads most of the time... i get the blank green screen for a long while, before the page opens up... same happens going back, with the return arrow...
to get the edit box to open takes a while, too... but it's an on/off thing, not consistent... sometimes an action is normal, timewise...

I just saw this. I was having a nightmare time getting on my websites server website and amazon.com. They were running slower than heck. I had to run a special adware removal program to get rid of it. Problem solved! I posted this for anyone who might still be having an issue with one or two websites.
