WF Short Story Competition
I was thinking it would be a cool idea for the forum to have bionthly or anually (doesn't really matter how often) writng competition.
People could postshorts in a competiton section and the mentors and mods could act like judges.
Prizes would be hard to do, maybe a special rank for winners?
It would be a good way to see how everybody lines up here as well as fun to see all the entries.

It would be interesting. I came to see what you were purposing, as Atom has been having his only little short story contests. The only reason I did one because its a given topic, and makes thinking up a plot a lot easier and I haven't written in so long i just had to do something.
I'd enjoy having a bimonthly contest. I'd enter. But it might be kind of hard, some things are all in opinion. Like I don't read fantasy, or like it. So I'm biased against fantasy. You could get judges that were good in a specific genre and have them then judge that genre.

Have you seen Literary Maneuvers? While they're not as organized as they used to be, they often change themes and medians. No prize, but still a very fun competition.

That's simple. Just have one genre each time. And yeah, I SSC would be good, especially one that has more than 3 members each time ^^

Your prize is a respite from my scorn. And bragging rights.

Still on story comp.
How about making a story comp. for the new comers in here, so as to get a hint and feel of their writing?
just a thought anyway.

It would be such a nice idea Atom, taking in consideration the success the SSC is reaping.
