o dear..

A glitch in your forums here just hurt my feelings.

I spent 45 minutes posting a critique of someone's story with included corrections in red for deletions and remarks and green bold for additions.

When I pressed "Post Reply" I was asked to sign in once more, for no reason.
I obliged.
Then it said "Thank you for logging in, chuff." And I had a choice to 'Proceed'.

The following page read as follows: "Invalid thread..."

So I pressed the Back button and read each page I had visited previously until I reached the webpage where I had posted my lengthy reply.
It was a blank reply box.

Can anything be done to fix this glitch?
Thank you sincerely.
That is all.

You need to tell your browser to remember you. But the best way is to compose your critiques in Word or equivalent & then copy/paste into the Reply dialog box. The WF timeout is about 20 mins (I think) so if you take longer than that it will log you out. The 'Remember me' option lets the browser sign you back in in the backgroupd when you click Submit.

Another way to deal with it is to teach yourself to always Select/Copy your text before clicking Submit - then if it happens you can simply Reply & Paste the text in.

That has happened to me a few times. If in doubt use Word first.

Yeah that has happened to me before. I was always able to press back and regain my lost work but it's still annoying. Timeouts should be longer IMO, maybe an hour?

This isn't a WF glitch, it's pretty much the same with most forum software.
