Maybe I didn't look in the right place, but I couldn't find anything about how long you can be dormant before you time out.

Several times I have read through a story, gave a long response, and when I clicked to reply, I was not logged in.

I since have learned from my mistakes, and copied it before I posted, but perhaps, if it hasn't already been done, there can be a notice of how much time you have.

This happened to me before. You have about 30 mins of no activity before you time out.
Best to paste in long responses.

You can get around this if you click "remember me" when you log in. I've never had that happen to me.

Yes, clicking remember me fixes all your problems. That's what I always do and I've spent a good forty minutes on a story before.
