Writers Forum Conference?
Hey, are there any plans for a possibility of hosting a Writers Forum Convention where the members here could meet up and have a "Writing conference"? Or would this be something that is too much to be asking or suggesting?

Ha, I was just thinking about this today, actually.
But we span all around the world. It'd probably take a few hundred thousand just to get the currently active members together.

The Backspace Forum Conference http://www.backspacewritersconference.com/ is the one I hope to make. Last year was a major networking occasion.

Funny. I was asked to organize a writers/publisher Conference in Kingsport, TN about a month ago. Its across from the College which would bring in alot potential writers/publishers. Let me know if this sounds interesting..

Do you think all the new 13 years olds parents would let them go??
Not putting down the 13 year olds - just noticed a lot of new members recently all happen to be 13.
How about Vegas? Count me in. I have always wanted to go there and take time out to see Hoover Dam.

Oh wow! Then my conference would be me and... Me.
Not that there are more than a couple of you I would like to meet in real life anyway.
Why would we need to have a conference? What would be the point? And most importantly, who do you think would actually pay for it?

I would at least pay to visit another city.
I kind of like the idea, whether it's official or just a casual "let's meet in this city" kind of thing. I'm curious to see what people are like in person -- sometimes personalities don't come across very well online.

No, more as in wander aimlessly to a variety of undisclosed locations and hope someone else shows up.
