Question
Um I know this is like the suggestion area, but I was unsure of who to ask so I figured I'd ask here.
A friend of mine doesn't want an account, or can't because she hasn't got a computer and she wants me to post one of her writing pieces on the site for her. She wants some feedback to help her improve it.
Is it okay to submit her writing, if it's not my own?
Thanks.

You should just submit it anyway and say its yours, maybe some others here already do that.

That meant to be funny?
Unfortunately the only way we can be certain that an individual consents to having their work posted is for them to agree to registration conditions and post it themselves. It would be preferred if you would post only your own writing. Surely she can use a library or something?

It's not. It's against the rules of our site. (Not to mention the law)
Plaigerists are dealt with very strictly at writingforums, and usually results in banning.

If no ones done it, then no ones got anything to worry about.
Glad to hear that you have a zero tolerance policy.

if she's a friend, why don't you let her register from your computer?... she can set up a hotmail account for free, and then she can access the site when with you, or at a library, cybercafe, school, or anywhere...

Well I know (ie think) some people on this site share an account and both post work. It wouldn't be considered plageurism (spelt correctly of course) if her work was shown that it was in fact hers and that it had her permission to be put on the site.

it's 'plagiarism'... and you're right, there's no way to tell if one person or 6 are using any particular 'account'...

It's all sorted. I let Pawn know that I let her create an account on my computer and she posted some of her story last night. Her name is "Ashe". Thanks for the help everyone.
