Successful Posting
I sometimes find it quite annoying that when you post, a message is displayed saying it was successful, asking whether you want to view it.
I find it annoying as there is no ubtton simply just to go back into the specific forum, you either have to view your post or go back to the generic Index, even more annoying.
I often have a slow connection, and this sometimes means that I cannot be bothered to keep posting, but to come back when there are fewer users on the internet, meaning late at night or very early morning.
Does anybody else sometimes get annoyed with this? Is it possible just to add one more button to go back in to the forum rather than hte long way round?

I always browse the forum with multiple browser windows. Recent posts list in one window; post I'm reading in another; post I'm editing in another....
.... well, it works for me.

And if you use Firefox or another Mozilla based browser (or Safari), you can do it in separate tabs which is even nicer.

ok, i could be wrong...
but when you hit 'submit', and it goes to the next screen, i see three options, not two
(a) you can go back to the index
(b) in the green box, it says 'click here to view your post'
(c) but underneath that, it says 'click here to return to forum'
if you click on the third of these, you return to the forum you posted in...
...or am i missing the question entirely?

I'm almost certain that there are only two button, and I'll find out after posting this. Hold your breath!
EDIT: There are two buttons.

I think the bolded one is the one that answers Alex's question. It returns you to the forum you posted in.

[ot:05755f1078]Ha ha! It's not bold 'cause it's entered in code!!! Ha ha![/ot:05755f1078]
Sorry.
This had been bugging me for awhile, too. I'm glad I wasn't the only one--I almost started a thread like this myself!
Edit: Verified it. Yes, clicking the "return to Forum" option will return you to the forum you were browsing.
