Silly Suggestion
Has anyone else noticed that when you scroll down to the bottom of the main page, and you see the list of people signed in. The colours of the moderators and mentors clash horribly, it looks like a bruise eating a carrot!!!
Can we change the colours??

lol, periwinkle??? ROFL!!!
I was thinking more like a vivid royal blue for the moderators, and a lovely powder blue for the mentors as you said. All relaxed and lush. Then the posts would look like the sky in a Turner landscape.

The colours have that much of a major impact?

Alex, I hope you take it as a compliment when I say you are the only person on this forum I can imagine making a suggestion like that.
I think the blue for Mentors would look good; it'd fit my purple avatar (wouldn't it? I can't match colors. I can't even notice when colors match or not) rather well.

Because the background color is green, I think the colors should work with that.
Complimentary Color Scheme would work: Shades and tints of red. Not much flexibility there though.
Schemes suggested by nature: My house colors for example, are two shades or violet, two shades of green with a yellow accent. Scheme suggested by an iris growing in the garden.
What we have is called a triad: Three equidistant points on the color wheel (sort of) I think the problem is that the balance is off (too much green and not enough of the other colors)
I suggest we throw our hands up and forget about it. Drinks anyone? -Philo

Alex - you need to get out more man! I can support your suggestion, but ther best colours belong in your writing, so put pen to paper and give us a short story to chew on...
Cheers

I like the orange and don't want to change. It reminds me of Tigers. I like the purple too and Chrispian is royal blue as is fit and proper.

The green, red, yellow, and orange remind me of autumn. The purple is the only color to mess with that.
Bah.

But if mentors are some shade of blue... I might have to change my avatar!?!

For some reason, it's just not the same.
