Yep; there's a problem with the server . Chrispian [the owner of Lit.org and WF] does know about it though, and he's working on it. Hopefully it'll come right soon.
(in the meanwhile, have fun here on the forums instead )

Valoh...sorry you don't find us that interesting. Lit.Org and the Forums were meant to complement each other. One (Lit) is more geared to writing and publishing our work...and the Forums...as I see it...is a place to share not only our work, but ideas, suggestions, even political views.
We have many varied forums within the Forums, to exchange these point of views, in a friendly manner. Anyone who has something to contribut, whether it is on their literary work i.e.., short stories, fiction non-fiction...hell, even how their week went...is fodder for this group. We have a tremdous amount of young people, perhaps newly turned on to the arts who use us as their sounding board as they tentatively post their work...to run it up the flag pole so to speak. Then when perfected and are confident in it, post it also in Lit.
Spend a little more time with us...get to really know us through the various threads that are posted both by seasoned vets and newbies alike...
You will make new friends and in order to do that...YOU must be a friend and respond to others.
TRY US...YOU'LL LIKE US!

No Lit...
Ditto DD....I had planned some good reading at Lit.Org this weekend....but nothing since last night? I am not really familiar with the forum, I tried briefly just before I found Lit and haven't ventured back till now. I guess I am just cosy at Lit because it has become familiar in the few weeks since I got there. I hope it comes back soon. Namaste

I'm pretty ticked off at the people who host lit.org at the moment. They have *TERRIBLE* support. I've submitted 3 tickets in the last 14 hours without a single reply from them. They might even be working on the problem, but they don't tell me spit! I may have to look into a new host. No fun.

But it is only a temp hitch (isn't it?) and you ordinarily do an amazing job. Your little writing empire is such a wonderful place You do a wonderful job Chrispian.

Hi Die and Tina...Welcome to the Forums. (Sorry is took Lit's problem to do it!)
Tina, if you look at my response above, you will see that one does not take the place of the other...no either/or...at Lit you have a platfom for your work...here you have a platform for that PLUS everything else that's on your mind pertaining to your writing...ideas, suggestions, life in general.
As you know, I love Lit...but I also LOVE the Forums. I'm not an authority, but I think we have twice as many young people here as at Lit and some of their work and ideas will blow you away! (We also have a lot of teen-age angst...but that's how they learn!)
So, stay awhile...make us a habit...We LOVE having you here.
YOU TOO Die! (Maybe you can start a Classics thread here too!)

I resent that teen angst comment. Insight distresses me.

It sounds to me like you've got a case of "weekend support synrdome".
Hope they can get it dealt with soon though, even if they're not very good at replying.
By the way - Do you have a number for telephone support? From experience with my own web host, I've found it's a lot harder for them to ignore you if you're actually talking to them.
