Penelope is an unknown quantity at this point
I think Capulet has something there. Scryer and I had a mock run off of appalling poetry thanks to Spudley calling for submissions. Aubrey and I went off on a Wol and Tigger write off .. sort of rapping poems back and forth. Both were great fun and you know me .. I'm game for that sort of stuff.
I don't think a moderator has to begin this though. Both times it was sort of spontaneous combustion for me. Wonderful feelingl. If you are looking for a duel Capulet .. name your weapon and we can just square off.

lol, I'm more of a poet and article writer than short fiction etc. Give me until January when I'm not turning in an article every four days and I'll be more than happy (and able) to lock antlers with you.

Yeah, I'd like to see a sort of joint competition between several forum members rather than something just started by a moderator. I mean, I like the idea of having a write-off between mods (then we can make fools of ourselves- yummy! :jester, but I don't think mods need to start a write-off, if you understand my meaning.

I'm hungry.

They don't have to be write-offs! That's my point! Moderators could set up different activities, get more involved in the creative section setting up games and such. There's a lot that can be done for diversity on the forum, and it'll give the moderators something to do other than be copy cops.
