The Legend of Zelda
Author's Note:
Forgive me for the problem with the fonts. I'm not sure what happened, lol.
Upon rummaging through the deepest fathoms of my mind, I recently uncovered an old tale my grandfather used to tell me. Pardon my bad memory, but I think it went something like this…
“There once was a boy, not much older than you. He was sixteen, if I remember correctly. The boy lived in a forest with his aunt and uncle. He lived a normal life working on their farm, at least until his uncle asked him to do a favor. This favor required the boy to travel to the town market and sell their crops. How did this change the boy’s life? Well, while at the town, the boy met the princess of the kingdom and instantly fell in love with her. She did likewise. They talked about everything – their lives at home, what their hobbies were, you name it. The night before the boy was to leave, this princess confronted him. “Link, I need your help,” the princess asked. Her eyes reflected rainbow light from the setting sun. It seemed surreal. “I would do anything for you, Zelda. What is it?” Link replied, a broad smile on his face. “You see, my father thinks Hyrule is going to be attacked soon, but he doesn’t know when. He has stepped up security in the town, but he doesn’t think this will stop the supposed intruder,” she whispered to him. He looked taken aback. “How am I supposed to help you guys? Who does he think is going to attack?” Link asked, shocked. “We are looking for a family to join us in the castle to protect us, at least until Ganondorf has gone away,” Zelda said worriedly. “Ganondorf? Who is that?” Link asked, curious. “According to my father, he is a dark sorcerer. So, will you guys come to the castle?” Zelda’s eyes peered into Link’s mind, as if thousands of troops were fighting their way in. “We’d do anything for the royal family,” he replied boldly. With that, Link and his aunt and uncle moved into the castle. A few days later, Ganondorf did in fact invade. He put the town and the castle under a terrible spell that prevented anyone from entering or leaving. Link and Zelda left the castle the night before Ganondorf appeared, based on her father’s orders. The first place they went to was a nearby forest. There, they stabbed Zelda’s father’s sword into the ground, attaching a note to the hilt explaining what had happened to Hyrule. After that, they retreated to a temple in the town, known as the Temple of Time. It was a dilapidated, old structure, where it is said the Hero of Time retreated to upon defeating Vaati, a dark wizard who possessed the ability to fulfill any wish he desired. It is said that the two children grew up in the temple. It is also said that they died in each other’s arms. Of course, we can no longer differentiate between what is fact, and what is fiction. Some still say that somewhere on this very planet, a sword still rests in the forest. It is said Link and Zelda are still alive and well, still children within the Temple of Time.”

What was this supposed to be? it doesn't even qualify as a fanfic. It's just... A summary of a would-be rip off.

Hold the phones!
Some old guy plays Zelda, relays the plotline to his grandson, and now this rube is carrying it around in the suckass recesses of his mind.
I don't know about you, but I've a feeling somebody poisoned the water-hole.
