This is my first short-story on here, and my first on here at all. But I'm a bit unorthodox in writing so feel free to say what you think. But this was done in an hour, and some bits are also meant to have a kind of news report or journal-esque approach to it; which I'm not all that sure if it's worked, but if not then I believe that it's no biggie, but feel free to give crit on that if you feel it's necessery, and also if it works in a mystery sorta thing?... I hope everyone finds it interesting to read.

Oh! And IMPORTANT: This contains some religious overtones but it does not hold anything disregarding to anything that may offend religion or its beliefs. However, if you don't like a fictional angel appearing, then perhaps you don't want to be reading this if the use of a fictional angel offends you.

P.S: Had an edit for adding in some comical bits, and sorted out some things that didn't quite work.

10th January 2000:
A Scene of Surrealism.

Early this morning, four individuals named Mr Arman Serik and his wife Mrs Aylen Serik, alongside Mr Daniel Corentin and his wife Mrs Angele Corentine were found - based on an alleged late night report of obscure behaviour and screams inside the Church of La'Crae Village from disturbed locals - by Investigator Seclare and a team of police of the village's local police station, whom when inside the church found an unearthed door leading to a series of catacombs.

Before being found and taken by the local police for questioning, both of the couples pleaded to give their account to all the newspaper coverage teams present. Their plead was accepted for everyone to take. But what you're about to read will seem surreal.

“Please! We can't remove our past...” says Mrs Serik, tearful. Mr Serik and Mr and Mrs Coretine seemed removed from the world at the time. “...but please, please pray to God! Pray and confess your sins! An angel is here among us! To remove sin! Forgive us God!!”

I asked quickly a question: “Mrs Aylen Serik. What do you mean by your past and what did this angel say or do?”

Mrs Aylen Serik replies: “God sent an angel to us, to show us our sins, then God's angel showed us the beauty of how we were suppose to live. Please, please confess any sins! God loves us all, we've seen God's love through His messenger and His eternal wisdom! God loves everyone! Praised be God! Please, for His love is endless and even the worst of sins can be mended by His love.”

After that, they were taken away from the press and from many questions that got unanswered by the couples. However Inspector Seclare took over to address any questions the press had.

Ariel Takana of Courrier International: “Inspector Seclare. What was found in the catacomb?”

Inspector Seclare: “To state it briefly, we found it to be clean, and well lit. However, a series of the catacombs led down to a large circular chamber, where we found Mr and Mrs Serik and Mr and Mrs Corentine. This chamber was lit by a single crystal, strangely glowing on a pedestal, and several inward-curved oval mirrors lay on its walls. How or when this was built and by who we don't know. However, disturbingly we found several messages written across the mirrors in white paint. And found both Mr and Mrs Serik and Mr and Mrs Corentine terrified and chained to the pedestal.”

I asked a question: “Can you divulge what these messages said?”

Inspector Seclare: “We can say that the messages are seemly ramblings from an unknown suspect. We believe to have gotten hold and held captive Mr and Mrs Serik and Mr and Mrs Corentine, and we're currently searching for fingerprints and any other skin particles we can use for evidence, as we're also searching for this suspect whom we'd like to find and attain for charges of kidnapping...”

“...However, the first reads: ''The Support of Arman the Dreamer lies broken, broken by the Angel of Echoes whom broke his dreams of corruption. God sent his Angel of Echoes to break Arman's corruptive dreams.''

The second reads: ''The Support of Aylen's Happiness is remade for Aylen, broken and remade by the Angel of Echoes whom swept away her corruption. God sent his Angel of Echoes to break Aylen's corruptive strands of happiness.''

The third reads: ''Daniel's Dreaming Hurricane's broken and deceased, broken down and calmed by the Angel of Echoes whom broke the his corruption. God sent his Angel of Echoes to break Daniel's corruptive and wild hurricane.''

Finally the forth reads: '' Angele's blinded Angelic Hurricane's broken and shown its errors, now broken by the Angel of Echoes whom shown her back. God sent his Angel of Echoes to break Angele's corruptive mislead hurricane.''

However, there was a last: '' Man and Woman of God and all His creatures, thee are always beautiful with love and are all as one. Cast away thee corruption of disdain and distrust brought by race or mind divination, and never show thy pride that may be selfish to each other. Thee should accept each other as friends and family, never should thee kill your brothers or sisters of Mankind, every colour is your brother and sister and family
God loves you all, remove your sins or you may not, but in God's love, you shall have them removed either in life or in death's hands, I say these to prove God's love.''

Ariel Takana spoke: “What do you yourself personally believe that they may be and why would they write it?”

Inspector Seclare: “I can only say that the first, second, third and forth are related to what the convicts were originally convicted with. However, the last we're not quite sure of other than that the suspect we're now after believes strongly in religion and of Humanity. We're not quite sure what the suspect was trying to achieve with this, but hopefully after the questioning of the couples we'll be able to give out more information within the following days.

I'm sorry, we've ran out of time and any more question will not be able to be answered.”

Inspector Seclare left, afterwards. The big question now is, is this a fanatic that's onto something with the kidnapping of the convicts and the messages, or perhaps maybe just someone trying a stunt with the press and the police. Only time will tell, but for now.

11th January 2000:
My Soul's Confession.

I can't say how sorry I am for what I've done, for the secret I kept from everyone. I kept hidden my greed, my knowledge of the two couples and their sins swept away and their souls saved by God's Angel of Echoes. My sin was swept away and my soul is saved as I write this.

Please don't hate me, hate my sin but hate not me. My sin lies in knowledge of helping the couples in their sins, and passing on the information I knew to the police to further my careers. I was frightened and scared, I wanted better money and a better life, but I have been shown the horror that lies in a frightened soul, and that corruption that grows as sinful lifestyles are past throughout society.

Please confess for any sins that may be great and selfish. I can only now hope that to repay for my past sins that I can be accepted by everyone in a way that justice and law sees fit. I wait for the law of Man to arrive, but hope that everyone reading this can forgive me. God be praised.

The general style was good, but for me the content was too fractured and didn't seem to go anywhere. It was like a fragment of something, and because there is no real feeling of direction, I think people will start to skim read it.
