The Two Faced Girl (Sort of a personal parody)

NOTE: In no way is this supposed to be grammatically superior and uber descriptive. It is what it is for a reason:

The Two Faced Girl

There once lived a two faced girl. On the outside, a happy, flirtatious, fun loving girl. But on the inside, she was as vacant as an abandoned warehouse. You see, she used her social life as an outlet from the problems that she faced at home.

With this outlet, she fell into a whirlpool of sex, lies, drugs, and drinking. Although it was fun at first, it would eventually prove to be her downfall. Like a queen that bit off more than she could chew, her life of danger would cost her metaphorical head.

But there was another outlet. One that she didn’t necessarily think of. It existed, of course, but she always overlooked it, all the way to the end. The Good Boy. The Good Boy was essentially her best friend. At the time in their lives, it was still considered taboo to have any romantic thoughts about opposite sexed friends, although this didn’t hold true for the Good Boy.

He was no doubt to old for his body. A thirty year old in a teenager’s body if you will. The Good Boy was the moral fiber to the Two Faced Girl. He was the salt to her pepper, the yin to her yang, the Red Sock to her Yankee. Again, she never knew it at the time, but he kept her above water. He was a life rope that she unknowingly held on to for the better part of her high school.

All in all, he was perfect for her. He was something different. Not only was he bound to be a great success in life, he was caring enough to actually see her for more than she really was. The catch to all of this was that The Two Faced Girl didn’t know what she really needed in a guy.

What she thought she needed…well, she didn’t ever really think. She never got past looks, and no matter how bad the guy was, no matter how many times he cheated on her, or how many times he hit her, she still went back to him, much to the chagrin of The Good Boy.

He on the other hand, had his own troubles. He was a relative nobody during his first year of high school, but got out and explored the prospect of dating in his sophomore year. Three dances, three times essentially going alone. No matter how he planned a grand, elaborate, gesture, it never got off the ground. This would continue the rest of his high school career, while The Two Faced Girl breezed through her years with a different guy every month.

Although her current whereabouts are unknown, she is sure to be practicing the same lifestyle, that, or growing up. She may be back to one face, and either successful, or a bitter failure. One thing is for sure, The Good Boy is determined to come back to his reunion in a great car, with a loving wife on his arm.
