If I were to post any of my real stories here, I would be banned.

You don't want me banned, do you?

You tell us you're a great writer, but never post a word of it.

And make it pretty obvious from your posts that you are a bit of an idiot with no ability to express yourself.

I think you should be banned from comments until you post work of your own. Which I quite frankly doubt exists.

You can get away with not having any talent, and you can get away with being an asshole. But you're doing both and it doesn't wash.

Put up or shut up.

Lin, read my lips: don't worry.

You'll see my work on the New York Times Bestseller list.

Do I have to answer that?? Just kidding, just kidding. I do rather enjoy you actually, but there are times when I very much agree with lin: put up or shut up.

Truth-Teller, go to "TheChair"'s profile, and click on all threads started by him. Look for "The Masochist." It is bounds and leaps ahead of this story, but I didn't want to bump them both to the front page as I thought some of the newer writers would be pissed for getting knocked down the page. This is a heart-felt story, and he admits to it in his writing. "The Masochist," on the other hand, will grab you by the balls and then shock you with a taser and leave you in awe. Seriously. This is one I wanted to have other members read, but the one I left back there is fucking amazing. Go read it. Now.

Hmm... good ambience... good atmosphere.

Nice setting; I'm just not sure about the characterization and dialogue.

It went nowhere, in my opinion. His stories can be condensed to two paragraphs or more, for more punch, but he doesn't come online anymore.

Tsk tsk. What a pity.

So true!! You can get new ideas almost from everywhere around you. Your life could easily be a great inspiration! You just have to keep your eyes open for everything new in your life. Nothing is normal, the matter how boring your life is. Plus, if your life is boring, write about that boredom. There are always something to write about!

According to the way you write, I can't be more sure that you're a very very talented writer!! You touched me by the way you expressed the hopelessness and depression.

Uh, you don't have to be rude, mate! If you took a damned deep look in the piece, you'd find out many images of depression. He clearly believes that he failed as a writer. Go and take another look and try to learn to look with a very good eye, not only reading.

TT, why don't you wait UNTIL your stuff is on the NYT list, THEN tell us how great you are. There is nobody here who couldn't say they are a future laureate. Just most of us know how stupid it sounds.

I really enjoyed this. Since it seems like this guy isn't here anymore to answer questions, its hard to tell where this was going and how real it was. I assume everything I read here is crafted specifically. I just assumed his inability to write was a metaphor for his inability to interact with his family. If that was his intent then I think its absolutely incredible. If it isn't, then I guess it was more catharsis than characterization and he probably cares little what I think.
