Copy and paste

Im not sure this is the correct place to ask this question, but cant find anywhere else to ask it; so here goes,.
I have some stuff I would like to post, but the thought of transcribing it all again rather than cutting and pasting, is ooooooooooohhawful.
Tried to copy and paste but it wont work, Am I doing something wrong? I will admit that I am a techno scardey cat so perhaps there is a huge sign telling me what to do and because it is Christmas and I have consumed enough wine to be wrung into a barrell that I am missing it.
Please help.

Thank you.

Lorlie

What can I say it is really a simple job. Just select the text by left clicking and holding at the beginning or end and drag the mouse to the opposite side. Then right click copy or ctrl c. Then go to the website press create new topic and right click paste in the white box, or press ctrl v. And there you have it.

Hey Eggo

Thanks for that, but I get how to copy and paste it just wont allow me to do it here, when I try to load the page it does not give me the option to paste,.
I know that some sites do not allow a paste option solely to discourage people from posting long and torturous nonsense, and that I truly understand,.
But I was sure that it would be possible here, especially if you have a couple of thousand words you want to put in the box from your file which is already there.

I really hope its just the Christmas Vino and that I am missing the obvious,.

Have you tried using control+V as some of the others have mentioned? This should work.

First copy the story you want to post. Then hit the post button. Then paste in the box.
