Matrix Reinstallment.

Here is a short story I wrote several months ago. I don't expect much feedback, as I am not going to edit the piece. Feel free to give some clichéd comments, though . Also, I understand it was rushed and lacked in detail - mainly around the battle scenes - but this was written long ago, when I was more of a beginner to writing.

Matrix Reinstallment

He couldn't believe it. He felt like it was all over. Neo glanced over his shoulder and saw the weaponry being aimed at the back of his head. Eight feet away, maximum, Agent Smith starred deeply into the terrorized eyes of Neo Anderson, holding out his custom built metallic colored pistol, which was capable of firing twelve shots per second. Neo froze with his body turned, facing the Agent.
"Mr. Anderson, we meet again." The Agent spoke with a serious, hardened facial expression.
"It ends, tonight." Neo responded with full confidence, still facing the man.
"I wish you wouldn't respond with such enthusiasm, for your life is going to end tonight." He replied, cracking a slight smile upon his face.
"No, in reference to you, it ends." Neo delayed after every few words, speaking softly.
"Congratulations, Mr. Anderson. Your first inaccurate assumption." The Agent pulled the trigger and held it down tightly, as multiple bullets swept abundantly toward Neo.

Neo quickly spun around to his left and bent his back halfway down to the ground all in a second as hundreds of bullets flew his way. He dodged the first few rounds, and then twisted his body up, turned around, and sprinted toward a nearby wall. Bullets constantly bolted past him, too fast to see. Neo flipped over toward his left and took three steps on the wall, immediately jumping off when hundreds of bullets slammed into the wall. He soared through the air, landing behind the Agent. Neo swiftly jumped onto his feet, ran over and slammed his right fist deep into the Agent's back, all before the man could turn around. Agent Smith suddenly vanished, his pistol dropping instantly to the ground. Neo pulled a cell phone out of his pocket and dialed 493; disappearing seconds later.

Neo reappeared in Zion, sealed inside a silver lab table with an arch formed see-thru cover. Morpheus and Trinity had been sitting up on the main control level, typing codes into the computer for Neo’s return. Niobe was pacing herself back and forth next to the case where Neo was lying.
“It’s time,” Morpheus said, “bring him back.”
“Affirmative.” Trinity reached over to the right and pressed a large green button. “Done.”
Niobe had still been pacing herself, but jumped at the loud clashing sound of the seal being removed. Neo sat up, rubbed his head, and then slid off the table and onto the floor.

Niobe ran forward and wrapped her arms around Neo’s neck, so tight it choked him.
“Sorry,” she said, “but I’m glad you made it back safely.”
“Where is Morpheus? I need to speak with him.” Neo walked away from Niobe, practically ignoring her. “Morpheus,” Neo spoke while walking up the stairs, standing next to Trinity. “He escaped.”
“Damn,” came the scolded reply, “we only have nine more hours before the destruction occurs and Zion is demolished. We must stop Agent Smith before 11 o’clock tonight.”
“I’ll go back,” Neo replied, “it is my battle.”

Trinity reached up and grabbed his arm. “You cannot go alone. I will go with you.” She said.
“I can go,” Niobe said, walking up with the others. “You need to control the system core, Trinity. I can fight.”
“She is right,” Morpheus broke in, “you need to stay here.”
“All right.” Trinity responded, angrily.
“You must depart immediately,” Morpheus said, facing Neo. “Get ready.”
“Don’t worry,” Neo said, placing his hand on Morpheus’ left shoulder, “we’ll be fine.”
“Go now.”
“Yes.”

Neo walked back down the stairs; Niobe followed. They walked into a small-boxed room, merely twenty feet in length and fifteen in width. Neo pulled out his cell phone once more and dialed 493. “All right, we’re in.” Neo spoke, apparently giving Morpheus a signal. Seconds later the room’s interior changed drastically. The walls widened to at least fifty feet in length and forty in width, and objects randomly appeared throughout the room. Tables first, weapons second. Lastly a huge closet appeared in front of them both, filled with all different kinds of suit. “Hurry.” Neo said.

Spreading out, Neo quickly glanced through the suits and Niobe stepped over to the weaponry table, which had any weapon possible to imagine. Neo grabbed a solid black luxury suit with a black over jacket and black shades. “Give me these.” Neo spoke aloud. Instantly, he was wearing the clothes in his hand.
“Here we go.” Niobe said, jogging over to Neo. “This ought to cause some damage.” She held up a three-foot long rifle. “It looks like an ordinary rifle in reality, but in the Matrix it will blast out heavy flares, demolishing anything touched. Would it work on the Agent?”
“No,” Neo softly let out, “but bring it.”
“I will.”
“Good, now get dressed.”

Niobe grabbed a black top, with black leather pants. Neo selected multiple pistols from the table and some extra ammo, placing it all inside his jacket. “Are you ready?” Neo asked Niobe.
“Yes.”
“Morpheus, launch us.”
“Affirmative.” Morpheus spoke over a noisy intercom located somewhere in the white room. He flipped a switch up and pressed a red button. Neo and Niobe warped into the Matrix. They stood in a medium sized apartment building.
“It is now 6 o’clock,” Neo began, “we have five hours to track down and stop him.”
“Where shall we begin?”
“Come, I have a sense.” They exited the apartment building through a back door.

Neo approached the dark alley, Niobe following closely behind. “It is dark—Too early.” Neo turned his head to the left and continued, “That way.” They walked down the long, narrow alleyway and came across an intersection in the street. “He is nearby,” Neo said, pointing right. “We must hurry.” The two jogged down the right street. After traveling approximately one hundred feet, Neo stopped and said, “I feel his presence, Niobe.” Not receiving a reaction, Neo turned around and noticed nobody.
“Help!” Niobe shouted from above. Neo starred up and saw Agent Smith on top of an apartment building, holding Niobe over the edge.
“Mr. Anderson, what a pleasure it is for you to show.”
“Let her go, now.” Neo replied, making a fist stance.
“I’d rather do just the opposite, Mr. Anderson.” He began, “Time to check your reflexes.” With that, he dropped her.

Niobe began falling off of the thirty-story building; Neo leaped into the air and flew upward. She was about three seconds away from death when Neo caught her and flew up further, onto the building across the street. He landed on the roof and set Niobe down gently.
“Wait here,” Neo said, “I’ll take care of this battle.”
“No, you will need backup.”
“Just stay down.” Neo stepped up onto the ledge of the roof and jumped up, floating over the street and onto the parallel building. He stood twenty feet from the Agent.

“Mr. Anderson, you’re taking all of the excitement away.” Mr. Smith chuckled.
“It ends, tonight.” Neo repeated, slowly.
“Indeed it does, indeed it does.” The Agent began saying, forming a straight face at the end of his statement. Neo made two fists and formed a proper fighting stance. He ran forward and slid into the position of the Agent, loosing balance and falling over when the man vanished. The Agent appeared ten or so feet behind Neo.
“Wow, upgrades.” Neo said.
“Give it up, Mr. Anderson. You will never win.”

The words stuck Neo hard; made him think. “I will win.”
“Will you?” Mr. Smith laughed.
“Zion will not be destroyed.” Neo formed another fist stance, remained still for a moment, and then lunged forward so quickly it caught the Agent off guard. Neo struck his right elbow into the Agent’s jaw, knocking him backward. “You will not,” Neo began, punching the Agent once more, “defeat me.” He kicked him in the gut, “Zion will be saved.” Neo reached into his jacket with both hands and drew out two pistols, aiming and firing at Agent Smith rapidly. Reloading when necessary, thousands of bullets went into the man, as he didn’t have a defensive strategy. After a few thousand hits, Mr. Smith fell over.

Neo stepped forward and glanced down at the lifeless body, speaking, “I told you it ends.” He leapt off of the building and flew back over to Niobe. “It is over, let’s go home.” Once more Neo pulled out his cell phone and dialed 493. Immediately they vanished. Appearing back in two separate cell tables, Morpheus pressed the large green button and the lids unsealed. Neo and Niobe hopped off and walked up the stairs to the main control level.
“Morpheus, we have succeeded. Agent Smith is dead.” Neo spoke, sounding glad.
“Slow down, Neo. We just got readings on the scanner higher than I’ve ever seen before. Something is out of alignment in the Matrix. It is 10 o’clock, you must hurry and find out what it is.” Morpheus said, saddened.

Before further thought the ship began shaking rapidly. “No!” Trinity shouted, loosing her balance. “It is beginning!”
“It appears so,” Neo replied in his normal soft tone, “nothing left can be done.”
“You mean we just sit here and die?” Niobe shouted.
“Yes.” Neo answered.
“But…” Niobe began, “I love you, Neo. I’ve been waiting for a long time to tell you how I feel.”
“So you decided to wait until the end?” Neo asked.
“No, I didn’t expect it to end this way…” Niobe trailed off her sentence as the ship shook even more rapidly than before.
“We will go down soon.” Morpheus said, speaking seriously. “It is all over.”

For the remainder of the time they all four stood silently, struggling to keep their balance. “It is our fault,” Neo began, “Zion is about to fall because of us… Me. I have failed.”
“No, Neo. We’re all in this together.” Trinity shouted.
“Not for much longer,” Morpheus broke in, “about forty seconds left.” The red emergency lights began flashing and the ship shook more. “Make that ten seconds.”
“I love you, too, Niobe.” Neo shouted over all the noise. He wobbled over and gave her a kiss on the lips. “I will miss you.” And with that, the ship went down—crashing into the planet of Zion. Moments later large flames began falling from the heavens and flying robots floated down. That night, the sun set and the moon did not rise.

I don't undersatnd, why post if you do not plan to edit? What is the purpose of the feedback you are asking for?

By the way, when did Zion become a planet?

Oh, and I kinda liked the idea of romance between Niobe and Neo, but it left me wondering, When/How did That Happen?
