Act I Part I

Int Court Room-Day

The sound of GAVEL pounding is heard, JULIE ANDERSON crying.

Judge
I give full custody of the children to Mr Thomas Dauls. Julie Anderson, you must move out of the house, and will not be granted visitation rights. That is all for today.

THOMAS DAULS goes up to CHILDREN, hugging them close to him. He turns his head towards Julie, giving a taunting smile. He walks out with the children.

Julie
YOU BASTARD! DON'T YOU HURT THEM! DON'T YOU HURT THEM!

Judge
Miss Anderson, if you don't calm down, I'll have you removed. This court session is over, please leave my court room

Julie
HE BEAT ME IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN DAMN IT!

Judge
Final warning Miss Anderson, final warning, get out now!

Ext Outside Bar-night

Judge walks outside the bar, waving at someone inside before opening the door to his car, stepping in the dirver's seat and slamming the window shut. VICTOR is sitting in the back seat, Judge leaping from fright. He turns around.

Judge
What the hell are you doing in my car!

Victor
What in the hell are you doing working in the justice system?

Judge
Get the hell out before I fucking drag you out!

Victor
It's normal for a judge to have friends, like your friendship with Thomas Dauls. Such good friends, that you spit in the face of justice and decency to get him what he wants

Judge steps out of the car angrily, Victor laying back. Judge opens the door, Victor changing into his Ringver armor, which is red with black swirls around the arms. Judge trembles.

Ringver Victor
Acting friendly with the defendant is a dead give away. So is dismissing testimony that Julie was abused by Dauls right in front of the children, so is ignoring everything else Julie said. You're a corrupt file in the system of law and order.

Victor charges up his blaster, firing it off.

Int Dauls Household-Night

Thomas Dauls is sitting on the couch watching television. After a moment, a brick is thrown through his window. Thomas rushes over, seeing a note on the brick saying "Those children aren't yours"

Thomas runs outside, where Ringver Victor swoops down quickly and grabs him.

Cut to:

Ext Daul's Roof-Night

Daul is dropped on the roof, Victor standing in front of him.

Thomas Dauls
Ringver, y-you're Ringver!

Ringver Victor
That's what everyone says. Here's what should've been said to you:You'll never see your children again.

Thomas crawls back, almost falling off.

Ringver Victor
That good pal of yours is dead, I'm your only judge. She's not your first either, is she? You've had seven different girlfriends, dumped five of them, killed two but your pal got you off the hook through good connections. You can cheat the justice system, you can't cheat me. You're going to die.

A yellow blade pops out from the left arm. He raises it above Thomas's head, then brings it down on Thomas's shoulder, Thomas screaming as blood flows out. Victor pushes down with the blade, then cuts through. We see a shot from the side of the roof as the arm falls down, Thomans screaming off screen.

Ext Outside Police Station-Day

A beam comes down and hits another officer. Rion in Ringver armor is flying outside the station, firing through the windows.

Ringver Rion
Where are ya? I know there are more of you lapdogs hiding in there! Come on out! I'm waiting!

Rion continues firing at the building, blasting through the windows. Rion lands on the ground.

Ringver Rion
C'mon, I'll even walk. Come out and play!

Several officers burst out the door firing, Rion flying in the air to avoid it, firing beams down, the officers falling back.

Ringver Rion
My victory lapdogs! This is the day I won!

A tank is heard rolling in the background, fighter jets zooming through the sky. Rion turns around to see them.

Ringver Rion
What the hell! Where did they come from!

The tank aims towards Rion who flies in the air, charging up his blaster and firing at it. A small dent is put into the tank. A missle is fired from the fighter jet, Rion hit and crashing into the roof of the police station. A swat truck arrives, several Swat members popping out as Rion get's up, firing at him. Rion is hit with the barrage of bullets, falling backwards. Rion flies back up, the fighter jet coming at him. Rion charges up his blaster and fires, the fighter jet dodging. A missle is shot from a tank, Rion flying out of the way, still hit in the arm which makes him spin in mid air. Rockets are fired at Rion who flies away from them, fighter jets following him.

Ringver Rion
Where the hell did these guys come from!

Swat men fire at Rion, Rion slowing down as he is getting it, flying away from the bullets and firing at one of the Swat men, hitting him in the head, cracking through his helmet.

Ringver Rion
That's one!

Rion fires again, his beam hitting another swat as a tank missle hits him, Rion crashing into the sidewalk.

Ringver Rion
Two

Rion flies away to avoid the barrage of bullets, flying away into the air. We see ANCHORWOMAN with a camera man who watches Rion fly overhead.

Anchorwoman
I'm just across the street from where Ringver launched another attack on the local police station. Several officers were killed before the armed forces arrived and drove him away. If this is any indication of the future, it looks as though Ringver won't be around too much longer.

Int Apartment Room-Day

Rion is sitting on the couch, watching this exact news report on television with a bitter glare.

Rion(narrative)
It's been about 2 weeks now. I managed to scarf up enough money to buy an apartment for just Manka and I. I don't like living under a land lord, but as soon as I take away control of this town, I'll kill him too.

Rion changes the channel, the camera focused on his glare as we hear the television.

Speaker 1
He's made his intentions clear, he wants all our officers, everyone involved with law enforcement dead, and possibly even overthrow of our goverment.

Speaker 2
He wants total anarchy, no rules, no laws. He's a freedom fighter in his mind alone.

Rion picks up the remote near him and turns off the television.

Rion
All it means is I have to go back to picking them off little by little. They don't have many officers left, and more are quitting by the day. Still, I need to take out those shithead army men. I can't overpower them all, even with this power. So, I'll just have to out think them.

Int Diner-Day

Manka, in waitress uniform, takes two trays of food over to a family, placing the trays down on the tables quickly but gently. She looks up at the clock, then goes over to a couple that is leaving, taking the money off the table and putting the tip in her pocket. Sandy walks over and snatches the money out of Manka's hand, counting it as she walks away.

Manka bends over and coughs lightly, some blood coming out of her mouth. Manka catches it in her palm, grabbing napkins off a nearby table and wipin it on there, then throwing the napkin away in the garbage. Manka wipes her lips, walking over into a bathroom.

Int Girl's Bathroom-Day

Manka stands in front of the mirror, putting her hands under the running water from the sink. She splashes it over her face, looking into the mirror. A beeping is heard from the collar on her neck, Manka pushing the button.

Manka
Manka here

Beelzebub
How is the recovery?

Manka
Slow so far. My injuries haven't been fully healed yet.

Beelzebub
Yet you work?

Manka
I must. Rion is busy with his wars so I must supply us money so we may continue to live where we are now

Beelzebub
I like this Rion, he treats you almost as badly as I do, just without the beatings. So are you still seeing that boy?

There is a moment of silence.

Manka

Why did you just leave it behind like that?

Manka
I didn't want to keep carrying two Ringvers. The burden was too much, I could've died if I kept carrying it

Manka turns the sink off, walking out of the bathroom.

Ext Streets-Day

Jeff and Trevor are walking down the sidewalk side by side.

Trevor
So, when did they say Alicia's coming back?

Jeff
They said a couple days, even then it's going to take her arm awhile to heal. So for the first time since we've met her, she's not going to be able to fight for herself. I just hope it dosen't drive her bat shit crazy.

Jeff and Trevor stop outside the diner.

Jeff
Stop inside to see your girl, when you're done you know where to find me

Trevor
Thanks Jeff.

Int Diner-Day

Manka carries a tray over to a table, placing it down gently. She looks over and sees Trevor enter, walking up to him. We see Victor sitting at the table Manka just set the tray on. Victor looks up at the TV screen, where we hear a news report.

Anchorwoman:
At this very highschool, several students were found murdered just outside the school. We found a tape player nearby that played a rather disturbing message.

We hear a voice from the tape player:

Ringver Victor(from tape player)
Do not cry for these students, they've brought enough tears. They have been harassing and making fun of an autistic child who had done nothing to them. It is because of them that this girl suffered. She would've continued to suffer without me. This is the kind of world we live in, a world where good, innocent people suffer while the victimizers can get away with it, and even when they are caught, they either are given an easy death, or allowed to live in comfort inside a prison cell. What kind of justice is that? This is why there is so much evil in the world, because we give them no reason to stop. The law keeps failing, so I must step in. I swear on my life I will never harm an innocent, so I kindly ask law enforcement not to step in. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I had other dates to attend to. I promise I will reveal my presence when I'm ready.

Manka is talking to Trevor near the door way.

Manka
hello Trevor. Would you like something to eat?

Trevor
N-no that's okay. Have you, recovered yet?

Manka
No, not fully

Manka coughs up more blood, louder then before. Everyone looks over to her, Trevor grabbing her shoulders.

Trevor
Manka!

Manka
It's nothing, I'll deal with it

Trevor
Manka, it's, it's getting worse! Please see a doctor!

Manka
No, I can't. I have to continue working, otherwise we can't pay rent.

Trevor
Look, is it your break yet?

Manka looks up at the clock.

Manka
In about 30 seconds

Trevor
Let's, let's see Jeff, he'll know, what to do

Int Arcade-Day

Jeff is leaning up against the wall, Trevor and Manka standing in front of him.

Jeff
There's no question Manka, you need to see a fucking doctor

Manka
I can't do that, I've told you.

Jeff
Manka, he's not going to last much longer. He has the fucking military against him, you ight as well leave him be.

Manka
Our lives are-

Jeff
Manka I know that's bull shit. Rion's forcing you to stay with him, he's threatening you, isn't he?

Manka shakes her head. Jeff sighs.

Jeff
Listen, you'll still get unemployment checks if you have to take a medical leave, that should do it.

Manka
Are you certain Jeff/

Jeff
Yeah, I am. Go get checked up, okay? Trev will go with you.

Ext Outside Apartment-Day

OFFICER 1 is standing outside the door to the bottom apartment, LOUD MUSIC heard from within the apartment. He pounds on the door loudly.

Officer 1
OPEN UP! THIS IS THE POLICE!

He waits a moment but no response comes. He kicks the door open, walking inside. We see from outside the apartment as the door is closed. The music abruptyl stops. A SCREAM is heard from the house, OFFICER 2 stepping out from the car. He rushes towards the door which opens, Ringver Rion standing there, firing a beam at Officer 2, who falls to the ground dead.

Ringver Rion
Only a little at a time. Thanks for the use of your apartment, former officer Jones.

We see OFFICER JONES in the apartment, face first on the ground in a pool of blood. Rion flies up onto the Apartment roof. Rion then tilts his head back and let's out a high pitched, maniacal laugh. He then flies away.

Int Hospital Room-Day

Alicia is laying in her bed, watching television. NURSE walks into her room.

Nurse
Excuse me miss, you have visitors

Alicia
Let them in

Nurse
The doctor reccomends you go down. You need to start moving about just a little.

Alicia
C'mon, what the hell!

Into Hospital Waiting Room-Day

Alicia walks in, her left arm bandaged. She looks around the room.

Alicia
Where the hell are they?

INTERROGATOR walks in, looking at Alicia before walking over to her.

Interrogator
Excuse me, are you Alicia Price?

Alicia
Who are you?

Interrogator
There's been an incident outside, someone who says they know you, Jeff was his name?

Alicia
Jeff?

Ext Hospital parking Lot-Day

Alicia rushes outside holding her arm, where she sees an ambulance. She rushes to the back of the ambulance. Looking inside, she someone laying on a stretcher, a drape over the body. Alicia's hand slaps over her chest, Alicia pants. She slowly climbs into the back, walking over to the body. She stares at it for a moment with an expression of fright. She then grabs the drape, hesitating before yanking it off. A plastic dummy is laying there. Invesitgator comes from behind, holding cloth over Alicia's mouth. Alicia grabs with her good arm, trying to stomp on his foot but he moves it, Alicia's arm then drops,, her eyes slowly closing before she passes out.

Int Hospital Check in Desk-Day

Jeff is standing in front of CHECK IN NURSE.

Jeff
Released! She wasn't supposed to be released yet!

Check In Nurse
I don't know what to tell you, she's been checked out

Jeff
Did she say where she was going to go?

Check in Nurse
I never heard anything. I was told she just left as soon as she was told she could.

Jeff
Thanks, I'll find her

Jeff walks out.

Ext Streets-Day

Trevor and Manka walk side by side, stopping at an intersection.

Trevor
W-what's Rion doing?

Manka
You've seen the news, you should know

Trevor
D-do you think he'll, ever, be back to normal?

Manka
Doubtful.

Manka and Trevor cross the intersection silently. They make it to the next block, Trevor looking down at his feet as he walks.

Manka
Do you know where this doctor's office is?

Trevor
Y-yeah, I've been there. He's a good doctor, he takes people in no matter what.

They continue walking silently. Manka looks to Trevor, who is still looking at his feet. She looks over at a small gathering of people, one person holding a sign that says "Ringver is our saviour"

Manka turns away from it, seeing two teen boys talking to each other. She then looks forward, Trevor looking up at her, then back down at his feet. Manka's eyes begin fluttering. A few steps later and Manka collapses into a nearby trash can. Trevor kneels down beside Manka.

Trevor
Manka! Manka! Are you okay, Manka!

Nearby Civilian(off screen)
Someone call an ambulance!

Ext Hospital parking Lot-Day

Alicia rushes outside holding her arm, where she sees an ambulance. She rushes to the back of the ambulance. Looking inside, she someone laying on a stretcher, a drape over the body. Alicia's hand slaps over her chest, Alicia pants. She slowly climbs into the back, walking over to the body. She stares at it for a moment with an expression of fright. She then grabs the drape, hesitating before yanking it off. A plastic dummy is laying there. Invesitgator comes from behind, holding cloth over Alicia's mouth. Alicia grabs with her good arm, trying to stomp on his foot but he moves it, Alicia's arm then drops,, her eyes slowly closing before she passes out.

Int Hospital Check in Desk-Day

Jeff is standing in front of CHECK IN NURSE.

Jeff
Released! She wasn't supposed to be released yet!

Check In Nurse
I don't know what to tell you, she's been checked out

Jeff
Did she say where she was going to go?

Check in Nurse
I never heard anything. I was told she just left as soon as she was told she could.

Jeff

Ext Streets-Day

Trevor and Manka walk side by side, stopping at an intersection.

Trevor
W-what's Rion doing?

Manka
You've seen the news, you should know

Trevor
D-do you think he'll, ever, be back to normal?

Manka
Doubtful.

Manka and Trevor cross the intersection silently. They make it to the next block, Trevor looking down at his feet as he walks.

Manka
Do you know where this doctor's office is?

Trevor
Y-yeah, I've been there. He's a good doctor, he takes people in no matter what.

They continue walking silently. Manka looks to Trevor, who is still looking at his feet. She looks over at a small gathering of people, one person holding a sign that says "Ringver is our saviour"

Manka turns away from it, seeing two teen boys talking to each other. She then looks forward, Trevor looking up at her, then back down at his feet. Manka's eyes begin fluttering. A few steps later and Manka collapses into a nearby trash can. Trevor kneels down beside Manka.

Manka! Manka! Are you okay, Manka!

Someone call an ambulance!
