    Trilogy

    as i posted in the tips section, im trying to write a trilogy.

    it basicaly borders around some scientist who creates a machine, eventualy creates a person, the person kills him, etc etc. (it makes more sence than it does here)

    it will, i think, only work as a trilogy... but when you have troubles writing one film at a time, it gets a bit strenuous. (first films about the father{the scientist n machine} second about the son {the guyhe creates} n the thirds about thholy ghost {not telling you this one}

    till have 2 be about 300 pages worth, with 9 acts.

    so, if anybody has any advice, tis greatly apprecuiated =)

    One script at a time. Just do a script of the first film, then put it down for a week, return to it, revise it, then once you're satisfied, go to the second script, and repeat until all three scripts are done.

    Writing one script for 3 movies will only frustrate you. 3 different scripts is the way to go.

    Remember, trilogies tend to be epics and action/adventures. This doesn't sound like any of those. I think this sounds like 3 acts the way you are pitching it... not 3 movies.
    See?
    Act 1 some scientist who creates a machine,
    Act 2 eventualy creates a person
    Act 3 the person kills him

    Take a deep breath, and try pitching it again with specifics to show us what you mean, or we won't be able to critique this. Ore suggested one movie at a time. Not a bad idea. Just pitch the first movie to us. Name your MC (not just "some scientist") and explain what we are going to see in this movie and what would make us come back to see 2 more movies. I'll happily comment again once you do.

    Firstly, I am not going to detail accusations but, your stroyline for this "trilogy" sounds an awful lot like Frankenstein.

    Secondly, I do not think that this plot would work as a trilodgy. As the poster above me said (sorry forgot your name), trilogies tend to be that of the genre of action/adventure or an epic.

    So yeah. I don't think that it would work as a trilogy, but it would work as a single movie. I mean, when you think about it, your looking at havingthree parts, right. It would probably be awfully boring in the first part, seeing as the only thing that is happening through the entirety of the film is some scientist creating a machine, unless you could throw something else into the mix. Then in the second part the scientist eventually creates the person.
    The third part would definately be the most intruiging of all, becasue this is the part when the person come to life and is trying to kill the scientist who created him.
    Case closed.
