    internal voice in screenplay?

How would I label internal voice in a screenplay? The main character is having a dialog with the nurse, and is often making comments in his mind. Would it be treated like a seperate character (JEF, NURSE, JEF INTERNAL)? I'm not quite sure how to treat that
I often find myself to be insanely jealous of my own life. I'm not quite sure what this means, but I know that it's nothing short of awesome!

It's been my experience, that the best way is with a voice-over.

I mean it's probably best to stay away from V.O.'s and inner monologues as much as possible, but if you insist on doing it then go with:

    JOE (V.O.)
    blah, blah, blah

Or if you want to make it even more clear that it's in his mind:

    JOE (V.O.)
    (to himself)
    blah, blah, blah

The second example is not the best but it should work for you.

I wish I had something clever to put here

RyeCatcher24 is correct. You would use (V.O.) just like that next to the character's name above the dialogue. By the way, if you use Celtx, it can format your entire screenplay for you, as well as post it on Project Central to get feedback on.
People underestimate the power a pen in the right hands can have.
