Thread: all over the place

I'm working on an idea, and my problem is that I don't have a set beginning, and no set ending, and the stuff I have in between are kind of just, little groups of things that happen and have no set order and are loosly connected to each other. I was wondering if anyone had any advise on how to help get it in order?

I think part of the problem is that I made it more character driven, and I've been working more of the character development than plot development.

Seriously, this isn't all that weird. A lot of scripts start out with maybe just a single cool scene that somebody dreamed up and gradually built something around.

If you've got good characters, they will help you out.

Write out the scenes you do have, see what happens.

I find things fall in once I have the ending figured out.

yeah, I do that alot. that's how about 90% of my ideas came about. this one is the only time I've had this happen. it's like I'm building a robot and I Haven't build the head or the legs, but have everything else in between just about perfect. there is a general plot, and characters. I just don't know how to start it going. I think If I could at least start it I could put the pieces in the right order, then focus on the ending.
